Kansas City Telangana Cultural Association (KCTCA) was formed to serve the aspirations of Telangana people in preserving and cherishing their culture in United States. KCTCA-USA organizes the community gathering to bring the Telangana people under the same roof to celebrate Telangana festivals and culture.

KCTCA is governed by an Executive Team with support from Board of Trustees who contribute their personal time and energies toward the successful creation and growth of the organization. The team has diverse professional backgrounds. Their dedication and contribution of time and expertise have laid a strong foundation in the growth of KCTCA.

About US

Kansas City Telangana Cultural Association” was formed in 2015 and incorporated as a ‘not-for-profit’ organization in Kansas city, USA. Part of Cultural heritage and promotion, KCTCA has been conducting flower festival Bathukamma festival, Chetla Kindha Vanta, Bonalu and Telangana Folk festival eventsin Kansas city since 2009. Usually flower festival Bathukamma conducted every year September/October time, Bonalu during June/July time, Chetla Kinda Vanta during August time and Telanaga Folk festival is in plan for 2017 and will continue this event every year. besides these events, KCTCA is planning to help needy formers and weavers in Telangana state in India.

Kansas City Telangana Cultural Association is a non-profit organization built to provide a platform for People of Telangana Origin (Telanganites) to come together for cultural awareness and community development. The Telangana region has a rich tradition of culture, history, language that have molded Telangana identity.

To provide a platform for all the like-minded, passionate & sympathetic people who understand and share the culture, heritage and values of Telangana, to participate in its socio-economic development. To help restore and build the identity, pride & self respect of Telanganites and to be a part of developed, prosperous & vibrant Telangana region. This Organization  focuses on empowerment of Telangana and Kansas City Metro through charitable works.

Mission

It is the mission, duty and purpose of KCTCA is Although we have local Telugu organizations, we do not have Telangana regional specific culture and social spread. Hence we the people of Telangana origin working towards the development of Telangana cultural forum preserving and cherishing the rich culture & heritage through younger generations in the United States. We help any individual or group, working for the development of Telangana. KCTCA is not parallel to any of the existing Telugu organizations in KS and MO. KCTCA will work in collaboration with existing Telugu Organizations’ cultural events, festivals & activities.   

KCTCA organizes the community gathering to bring the Telangana people under the same roof to celebrate Telangana festivals and culture. We also organize community events, educational/cultural forums to bring people together and educate ourselves about problems faced by Telangana people for possible resolutions. KCTCA is also involved in organizing cultural and family events to help strengthen community bonds among Telangana people in KS USA. KCTCA will assist individuals and organizations that may want to take up developmental activities for charity in Telangana region.   

Kansas City Telangana Cultural Association (hereafter “KCTCA”) , a USA not-for-profit organization formed by residents of Kansas City Metro Telangana (Non Resident Indians/NRI’s). KCTCA provides the platform to preserve our Telangana cultural identity and contribute educational, social and developmental activities in Telangana state, India.  

KCTCA main goal is to expose the Telangana culture, Arts, festivals and cultural heritage to Telangana (state) and telugu (language) speaking families and their kids and next generations.

Objectives

Building a platform for our younger generations about Indian culture and heritage.
Providing a platform primarily for NRI Telanganites and their children and organizations interested in the causes supported by KCTCA to come together for broader discussion of various problems that Telangana is facing.
To celebrate Telangana region specific festivals (Ex: Bhatukamma) with the help of local Telugu Organizations.
To promote Telangana culture in Kansas City Metro.
To strengthen cultural identity of Telangana among Telanganites living in Kansas City Metro.
To develop and maintain an active web site that serves as a repository of information resources and links about Telangana along with a cyber space meeting place for the members to exchange and discuss views about Telangana issues.
To help the local Telangana community with immigration updates/advices.
Assist the sponsors of developmental projects in Telangana through their funds channelization and bringing needy people, places, projects and implementation resources together through its foundation activities.
Adopt your village in Telangana and help by giving back to our own land. Our first step is to adopt 10 villages and help them in improving the primary education system.
Organize the sessions to create awareness and educate the students to come abroad to pursue their education, career and other aspirations.
To conduct health camps in Telangana rural areas.
